Gandhiji fought for indigo planters of champaran in Bihar against Tinkatihia system.

British Government appointed Sedition Committee in 1918 to report on the national movement in India.  It was headed by Mr.Justice Rowlatt.

Gandhiji started satyagraha movement on 6th April 1919 against Rowlat Act.  6th April 1919 was observed as satyagraha day.

Jalianwalabagh massacre took place on April 13 1919 at Amritsar. General O`Dyer fired on people who were in protesting against Rowlatt Act.  Thousands of people were killed in this incident.

Mahatma Gandhi launched the Non-Cooperation Movement in 1920.  The Chauri - Chaura incident took place on 5th Feb 1922.  In this incident 22 policemen were killed.  Gandhiji stopped the Non-Cooperation Movement.

All India Khilafat Conference held on Nov.24 1919 at Delhi.  Mahatma Gandhi its president.

Swaraj Party was founded in 1923.  The main leaders of this pary were C.R.Das, Motilal Nehru, Kelkar etc.

Simon commission came to India on February 1927.  It had 7 members.

All Parties Conference meeting held at Culcutta in 1928.  The Conference appointed a committee to draft a constitution under the leadership of Mothilal Nehru.
